While Lao PDR already has a highly renewable electricity grid and exports clean hydropower to its neighbours, solar and wind are only recently being deployed at scale. Lao PDR can continue to expand renewable energy exports, displacing expensive gas and emissions-intense coal power, as well as power its own low-emission economy through electrification of transport and industry.
EnergyLab Asia partners with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and Electricite du Laos (EDL) to share latest information, connect developers and investors, and promote an inclusive and just energy transition.
