Supporting Skills Development

As part of our support for the sector, EnergyLab works to understand the skills required for Cambodia’s clean energy transition.

To this end, we partner and collaborate across the stakeholder mix – including the private sector, startups, educational institutions, development agencies, and industry experts – to devise and carry out initiatives that enable individuals to acquire the skills and knowledge essential for driving the transition forward.

Supported Partners

Through EnergyLab skill support programs and activities, we are able to provide critical assistance to our partner organizations, helping them to build the human resources to succeed in this rapidly evolving industry.

These include our Clean Energy Fellowship (CEF), Clean Energy Internship (CEI), and CleanTech Startup Incubation and Acceleration Academy.

In addition, we provide bespoke programs on an as-needs basis.

EnergyLab facilitated a consultative dialogue in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF) “Closing the Skills Gap Accelerator” program. It was attended by key industry leaders from the renewable energy (RE) sector, and representatives from the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The session was a productive discussion with CEOs and leadership from Comin Asia, Huawei, Mitsubishi, Oyika, VeryWords, Asian Gateway, CAR4U, Cambodia Automotive Industry Federation, and the Liechtenstein Development Service.

The Private Sector confirmed the need to rapidly close the RE sector skills gap, with the support of a new Renewable Energy businesses and skills development program.
